The Fifth
Decennial International Conference on Healthcare-Associated Infections
(www.decennial2010.com) will be held on March 18-22, 2010 at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Atlanta, Georgia. The conference will bring together multiple healthcare agencies to celebrate 50 years of accomplishments in the fight against healthcare-associated infections and set the agenda for infection prevention for the coming decade.

Innovations and research that will define the field of infection prevention in the coming decade will be highlighted. Renowned physicians, scientists, researchers, nurses, and other opinion leaders in hospital infection control, antibiotic management, patient and healthcare worker safety, and hospital and community-based epidemiology will commemorate this historic conference.

Dr. Thomas Frieden, the Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will give the Fifth Decennial Keynote, on Thursday, March 18, 2010:
A Global Approach to Maximize Infection Prevention in the Next Decade.
