Beginning January 1, 2013 for the 2012-2013 influenza season, acute care hospitals participating in the CMS hospital inpatient quality reporting program
are required to submit summary data on influenza vaccination of healthcare personnel via the CDC’s National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN healthcare personal vaccination module). (Note: Use of this
measure for payment determination will not begin until October 1, 2014 (FY 2015).

CDC webinar on new NHSN vaccination module

A recording and slides for CDC’s webinars on the new NHSN Healthcare Personnel Vaccination Module are now available.
Content includes NHSN reporting requirements, protocol, data entry, summary forms and analysis.


Note: Due to high demand, registration for upcoming “live” sessions is now closed. You are encouraged to review a pre-recorded session (content is the
same for all programs). .
